Dr. Joshua M. Alpert

Dr. Alpert’s specialty is treating orthopedic sports injuries via minimally invasive arthroscopic techniques. Dr. Alpert grew up in Highland Park, Illinois and obtained an undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Illinois-Champaign. He earned his MD at the Chicago Medical School and completed his residency at Rush University Medical Center. During his sports medicine fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, he served as a team physician for the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, and the Boston Bruins.

While earning his undergraduate degree, Dr. Alpert was named to the University of Illinois’ Dean’s List multiple times. While in medical school, he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Orthopedic Honorary Society and given the Dean’s Award.

David joined our team in 2020 after graduating from Dominican University’s PA program. Prior to that, he earned a business degree from the University of Iowa and interned with the Chicago Blackhawks and Iowa Cubs. David is a serious sports fan and enjoys cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes and Chicago sports teams with friends and family.

    Dr. Alpert’s Assistant Nikki Petty

Nikki Petty has been Dr. Alpert’s assistant since January 2012. She grew up in Elgin, IL. She is a CNA and has a certificate in phlebotomy. She received associates degrees in both Science and Art from Elgin Community College. Her main responsibilities are scheduling surgeries, obtaining prior authorizations for in-office and surgical procedures, and other administrative duties. She enjoys spending time with family, reading, and volunteering.
